Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority
The Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority is tasked with the operation,
maintenance, repair, replacement, and rehabilitation of the Federally authorized
Wyoming Valley Flood Risk Management Project, near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The Authority Board is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Executive
Director. This full time, permanent, position reports to the Authority Board and includes,
but is not limited to, manage the coordination of resources and emergency operations
during high water events, perform project management responsibilities on maintenance
and capital improvement projects, manage all administrative responsibilities of the
Authority, and other related duties as required in the operation and maintenance of the
16-mile Wyoming Valley flood protection system.
